My review policy is fairly straightforward in an effort to make the review process a successful one for all parties. Please read carefully over my review policy and do not hesitate to contact me with questions.

Newly added: Due to an issue with an author whose book I did not review, I am forced to add this disclaimer to avoid future issues: I do not return or reimburse books sent to me whether I chose to review them or not. I have always had the disclaimer that if I do not care for a book and do not in good conscience believe I can recommend the book to other readers, I do not review the book. Apparently that was not enough so once again; I will not be returning any books sent to me whether I review them or not. Most books are donated after I read them, none are ever sold. Thankfully in dealing with over 500 books, this has only been an issue once, but once is enough!
My schedule fills up quickly and it is not uncommon for me to be scheduling at least 2-3 months in advance.
I do not waste my time with books I neither enjoy nor do I believe I could recommend to others in good conscience. See below my views of rating.*
I truly do enjoy almost all genres. My absolute favourites include; Literature, Historical Fiction, Mystery (Cozy through Psychological Thrillers), Contemporary Fiction, Classics, Multicultural/Ethnic Fiction and Historical/Cultural Memoirs.
While I am an avid reader, there are some genres that I typically do not care for, no matter how well written. These include; YA, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Westerns, Sci-Fi, and explicit Romance novels.
At this time I am not accepting Childrens Books, Comics, Graphic Novels, YA, Paranormal, Urban Fantasy, Westerns, Sci-Fi, most forms of Romance, or Erotica so please do not bother to contact me with any of these genres.
I do not accept Unbound copies, digital copies, or eBooks.
Any book or ARC sent to me for review will not be returned. I do not sell any books I receive. The books either become part of my personal library or they are donated.
I write honest reviews based on how I feel about the novel. If you do not want an honest review, then please do not ask me to review. In my reviews I thank the author/publishing company that furnished the book for review. To keep my reviews unbiased, I treat all books equally.
*If I do not feel that I can rate a book at least a “3″, I will not bother reviewing it at all. It most likely did not capture my attention and I probably would not recommend the book to any other reader.
At this time, I prefer reviews only. It is very rare occurrence for me to host a book giveaway. If I host a giveaway for you, I will require you to ship the prize to winner, as I do not ship to winners.
All books will be reviewed in the order I receive them unless a prior date is scheduled and the book arrives in a timely fashion. The time frame for reviewing a book will vary depending on how busy the season is.
Unsolicited books will be reviewed at my discretion.
Finally, on rare occasions, there may be circumstance beyond my control that could possibly delay a review. Should this happen I will contact you to let you know if there will be a delay if possible.
