Laurie McBain became a publishing phenomenon at age twenty-six with her first historical romance. She is a winner of the Reviewer’s Choice Award for Best Historical Romance Author. I received a complimentary ARC of Moonstruck Madness by Laurie McBain from Sourcebooks. Receiving a complimentary copy in no way reflected my review of aforementioned novel.

This was one of my VERY first romances that I read and I fell in love with Lucien and Sabrina. I have such great memories of this one and the ones that follow it (about their daughter Rhea and her hunky husband Tristan). If you haven’t read them, they are classic.

Interesting. If you don’t like romances at all why did you choose to review it? I’m curious.

    • Terri,
An excellent question and one I wrote about awhile back. When I agreed to have a look at this book several months back, I was not yet fed up with the genre, also I was not fully aware of what the book was exactly going to be about. When it came time to review the book, I contacted the Publisher, who is lovely, explained my situation and I chose to still put the book up sans review for others who enjoy romance novels. I could have written a review, but that would not have been quite fair to the author or the genre, since my review would have been jaded by my dislike of the genre. Instead I chose to highlight the book so others who are fans of this particular genre would know the book was being released. I no longer accept this genre, however, as I mentioned, it was over three months ago when I said yes to giving the book a look. Hopefully I have answered your question.
