Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
“He had learned early on how to transform frustration into a fantasy of fulfillment, to turn life into art. To catch Jack the Ripper, he understood, was to effect a reverse transformation, to uncover the frustrated desires that found their perverse fulfillment in murder.”

HAppy reading !!
Very curious about this book, but a bit hesitant, in case it is gory. Does it contain gruesome scenes or is the emphasis more on the intellectual puzzle the Ripper’s identity presents?
This is a brilliant book filled with thought, philosophy, personal observation and a jolly fun read.
Your review and reply settle it, thank you. I am ordering this book now!

I adored this book! My review is here.
Not normally the sort of book I’d pick up for light reading, but it sounds fascinating. I do wonder how much of that fascination comes from the title as opposed to the Teaser.
I will be adding this to my reading list. I love a good mystery. Thanks for stopping by my blog!
I hadn’t heard of this before, but the teaser certainly sounds interetsing. I’ll have to check out your review…
