Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
“On this occasion she sat down, alone, at a table for two and ate in silence and concentrated on her book over coffee after her meal, and when her cup was empty she tucked the book under her arm and stood up. The very moment her body left the chair, she felt so exhausted she thought she would collapse there and then and never stand up again.”
~Page 11-12, I Curse the River of Time by Per Petterson

Intriguing teaser! I’ll have to check this book out.
My teaser is from Rules of Attraction.
Sounds somewhat sad; has she been through a recent upheaval?
Good teaser – who hasn’t had days like that?

Interesting teaser…I wonder why is she that exhausted
Awesome teaser! I’m adding this one to my TBR stack… It’s huge! LOL
A very atmospheric teaser, thanks! Here’s mine, something special for book bloggers
Ugh this sounds very tragic! Hope you’re enjoying it. My teaser is at The Crowded Leaf.
Nice teaser. The title is intriguing enough too, to have me looking up more!
I can identify with that — both the loveliness of having a meal alone with only my book for company and with that level of exhaustion — though mine is more mental/emotional than physical these days.

That is so wonderfully descriptive that I can almost feel exactly like she does in those moments. Great teaser, Jennifer, and thanks for stopping by my blog.
Wonderful teaser! Sounds like a good read.
Here is my Teaser Tuesday: The Tale of Halcyon Crane by Wendy Webb post!
Hmmm will have to check back to see what happened to her… was it heat stroke?? Or maybe the book was really good

That definitely sounds like something most women could relate to!
Here’s mine from Wicked Lovely
Thought-provoking teaser — looking forward to your review!
It’s amazing how many questions that Teaser leaves hanging in the air! Did she collapse? What’s wrong? Poisoned coffee? And mostly, what was she reading! ;o)

loved Out Stealing Horses by Per Petterson. will have to check this one out
Here’s mine from a funny picture book, It’s a Book.
I keep wanting to read one of his books but I just have not gotten to it yet. I look forward to your review!
Great teaser. I saw myself in the character. This one goes in my TBR pile.
The first sentence sound like a fine time – alone with a book. The second sentence and the title shows what the book may be about and one I can relate to. Good teaser!
