Teaser Tuesdays is a weekly bookish meme, hosted by MizB of Should Be Reading. Anyone can play along! Just do the following:
- Grab your current read
- Open to a random page
- Share two (2) “teaser” sentences from somewhere on that page
- BE CAREFUL NOT TO INCLUDE SPOILERS! (make sure that what you share doesn’t give too much away! You don’t want to ruin the book for others!)
- Share the title & author, too, so that other TT participants can add the book to their TBR Lists if they like your teasers!
Here is mine:
“Richard leaned out and listened, trying to recognize the words they were shouting. It was the most terrifying sound he had ever heard.”
~Page 73 , Within the Hollow Crown by Margaret Campbell Barnes (ARC copy. The actual page number may differ in the final published novel.)
What are you reading?

My teaser for this week is here!
I see some are confused and I probably should have given some background, my apologies, being a history buff i assume everyone is.
WITHIN THE HOLLOW CROWN is a historical novel about the unrest in England, Richard II, who is very much unlike his father and his namesake, Richard the Lionheart. Richard the II never wanted to be King and it was thrust upon him at age 11 when there was heavy unrest throughout England.

I thought, from the title, that it had to be a historical novel. It sounds good!
And by coincidence, mine is also from a historical novel today, at Bookishgal.

Oh, and No Hope for Gomez is a bit disarming at first (It's structured in a bunch of short "blog posts") but it's got an interesting concept.
Well, that surely sounds intriguing! I'm trying to imagine what's going on but whatever it is it doesn't seem nice…
