Interesting response! Like the others, I was also wondering how you decide which book to read. I somehow cannot resist reading the flap. I almost feel like I am jumping into uncertain waters. LOL

I've never thought about not reading the flap or back of the book before I start reading it. Looks like a few agree with you though Maybe I'll give it a try sometime.

I'm a flapper, but if I sense there's a spoiler coming on (especially the introduction page), then I'll skip them.

That's what I do with theatre reviews (I won't read them until after I have seen the play), but not, somehow, with books – even though I try to protect myself from too much plot information!

Really, how do you buy a book then? I do buy books for their covers but most of the time I read the blurb unless I'm buying it based on book reviews. You are right though, sometimes the blurbs give too much away.
