Keystone Candle Review

I must be upfront, when I agreed to being part of a mega review through Extraordinary Mothers I was thrilled to be chosen (it was an honor and one I am truly thankful for) and at the same time worried I would not care for the product. Why? It is all rather simple, I am a candle snob. I love candles. If I am awake one is always burning. It finally got to the point where I was being disappointed by so many candle companies that my husband began making our candles.

Now the secret is out, I am such a candle snob and my husband makes our candles, with only one exception. So I went into this excited to be chosen (admit it, deep down we all want to be picked) and apprehensive until the candle arrived from Keystone Candles Immediately I knew I would like it, but would I love this soy candle? Little did the candle know I had high standards and a few tests for it.

Immediately I was drawn to the lovely glass container, the beautiful purple wax and the unmistakable scent of Lilac. This was at first smell no ordinary scented soy candle.

The lilac scent smelled like truly fresh cut lilacs.
I began to burn the candle and a beautifully formed melt pool formed under a lovely even burning wick.

Soon my home was filled with the scent of freshly cut lilac. Not just in the room candle was burning, but in every room of the house. This candle passed my scent, burn, and melt pool tests. All that was left was to see if this candle could repeat the same way and for several days. I am so pleased to announce that this candle blew away all my previous misgivings and burned beautifully and cleanly until the end.

I have found a new candle company. The difficulty will be in informing my husband. I am not certain he can handle the news.
Thank you Keystone Candle for allowing me to try your Lilac Scented Soy Candle and thank you to Extraordinary Mothers for allowing me this honor and forming a new addiction. Now how to explain this to my husband.

Spring Break Day 4-Time

Spring Breaks appears to be going by at a very rapid rate and we have been greatly enjoying it. I have noticed that as the years pass, time appears to speed up. The children are now young men and before I know it they will no longer be here with me and my husband. Which makes it all the more important that I treasure these days while I have them.
If you are a regular reader, you may know I have been questioning my time online verses time offline. I have felt badly for blogging and equally badly about not blogging. I believe I have found or I am in the midst of discovering my personal balance. There is a quote I have used to motivate me over the years. It was not until this past weekend that it dawned on me, this quote applies to all areas of my life! (yes, I shall share the quote):

Don’t say you don’t have enough time. You have exactly the same number of hours per day that were given to Helen Keller, Pasteur, Michelangelo, Mother Teresa, Leonardo da Vinci, Thomas Jefferson, and Albert Einstein.”
- H. Jackson Brown

For me, this is a very humbling quote and one I shall not forget to apply to all areas of my life.

Quick reminder: Less than 2 days remain to enter my newest contest! Twisted Silver is offering one lucky reader an Aurora Bracelet set to be released the day the contest ends! So enter anytime through 11:00PM EDT on 3/31!**

I will of course be checking in to choose a winner via Random.org. This weekend I should have a few reviews up. Until then, I am going to spend as much time with my teens as they allow.

Spring Break Day 2

Spring Break has started off rather well. We will not be traveling anywhere since DH does not have the time off, his spring break unfortunately does not coincide with the guys’. The boys and I plan on staying up late and sleeping in. Yesterday we began it with cleaning (I know, it still has to be done), then a nap (teens love naps and this mum loves them too!), we finished the day with a junk food, movie watching marathon.

I did promise I would not be online much, and I do try very hard to keep my word. Honesty and Integrity mean a lot to me. If I have not been to your blog, I will. It may take longer than usual, yet I shall be there.

Before I head off to a track & Field event my oldest is running in I did want to mention the fantastic contest I have currently going on. There are just under 4 days to enter. Twisted Silver had once again created a beautiful new line of jewelry and I am honoured to be able to be giving one away! (I am hoping the Easter Bunny leaves one at my house). There are numerous ways to enter, as long as the first rule is followed:
